A life devoted to images, creativity and the search for new paths.
My name is Marcelo Sevitz. I am a photographer, filmmaker and visual director. My professional career began in 1987, and since then photography has been much more than a profession: it has been my way of observing, interpreting and communicating the world.
Over nearly four decades, I have created advertising campaigns, fashion shoots, editorial photography, catalogs and audiovisual projects for numerous brands, agencies and companies in Argentina and abroad.
I have worked for brands including Ossira, Saverio Di Ricci, Rever Pass, Kill Robins, Bravo Jeans, Kout Jeans, Jo Black, Chic France and many others. Every project presented a new creative challenge and an opportunity to develop my own visual perspective.
My career is also closely connected to the editorial, arts and entertainment worlds.
My photographs and work have appeared in publications including Playboy, Hombre, Look, Siete Días and Be Mag Germany. I also worked as a photo editor for CeroMag.
Throughout my career I have worked with actors, models, musicians and entertainment personalities, including Adriana Brodsky, Fernando Lúpiz, Emilia Attias, Eva De Dominici, Hernán Drago, Cristian Sancho and many others.
My work has also extended to the music and film industries, including record covers for La Mississippi and CQC Disco Music, and the poster for the film Todo por el Ascenso, directed by Jorge Piwowarski.
Photography as a form of expression
Since my first studies at Foto Club Buenos Aires in the 1980s, I have continued training in advertising photography, lighting, darkroom processes, art direction and new technologies.
The transition from analog to digital photography changed the tools, but not the way I understand an image.
For me, light, chiaroscuro, emotions and each person’s individuality are essential elements of photography. I have never been interested in merely reproducing an image, but in conveying something through it.
Over the years, I have also shared my knowledge through photography and lighting workshops.
A life beyond the camera
My curiosity has never been limited to photography alone.
Sailing is another discipline that forms part of my personal journey. In 2001, I earned my Yacht Skipper qualification from the Argentine Naval Prefecture.
Physical training, strength training and understanding the human body have also sparked my interest. I trained as a personal trainer and studied kettlebell, CrossFit and other disciplines related to fitness and health.
These experiences represent different stages of my life, always guided by the desire to learn and take on new challenges.
Technology and a new creative chapter
My interest in technological progress led me to embrace digital editing, audiovisual production and, more recently, artificial intelligence in my work.
Today I develop visual productions that combine my photographic experience with digital tools, virtual models, generative campaigns and new creative approaches.
This exploration also inspired me to expand my technical knowledge.
At the Centro de Formación Profesional No. 34 (CFP 34), I completed the Electrical Installer program. I am currently studying Electrical Installations in Buildings and plan to study Industrial Electricity in 2027.
My perspective
After all these years, I remain convinced that a great photograph is not simply about the camera or technology.
It is about vision, sensitivity, interpreting light and finding what makes each person, object or story unique.
Tools change. Times change. The ways we create images change as well.
Curiosity, creativity and the desire to keep learning remain.
